Ingredients

1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp sweet chili sauce

1 tbsp sriracha (or more for extra heat)

1 tsp lime juice

Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, add the raw shrimp and cover them with buttermilk. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the spices.

Coat the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk, letting excess liquid drip off. Dredge each shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Shrimp: Place a single layer of coated shrimp in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until they are crispy and golden brown.

Prepare Bang Bang Sauce: While the shrimp are cooking, in a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth and well combined.

Toss the Shrimp: Once the shrimp are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and drizzle the bang bang sauce over the top. Toss gently to coat all the shrimp in the sauce.

Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired, and serve immediately with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
