Ingredients

1 large loaf of French bread or Ciabatta

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini), drained

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional for drizzling)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

Slice the Bread: Cut the loaf of French bread in half horizontally. Place both halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Spread Garlic Butter: Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.

Add Cheeses and Tomatoes: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the garlic butter. Evenly distribute the halved cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella balls over the cheese.

Season It Up: Season with a little more salt and pepper, and then sprinkle the chopped fresh basil over the top.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Drizzle Balsamic Glaze: If desired, remove the bread from the oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze for an added touch of flavor.

Serve: Let the cheesy garlic caprese bread cool for a minute before slicing into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
