Ingredients

2 cups leftover macaroni and cheese

1 cup crushed Cheetos (original or Flamin' Hot, depending on your preference)

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or olive oil.

Mix Mac & Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the leftover macaroni and cheese, crushed Cheetos, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Shape the Bombs: Using your hands or a tablespoon, scoop out a portion of the mixture and shape it into a ball. Ensure the ball is compact and cohesive, about the size of a golf ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used, placing each ball into the prepared muffin tin.

Add Extra Crunch: For an additional layer of flavor and crunch, sprinkle some extra crushed Cheetos on top of each mac 'n' cheese ball.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the bombs are golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.

Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool in the muffin tin for about 5 minutes. Carefully remove the lava bombs from the tin and serve warm. If desired, accompany with marinara sauce for dipping.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 lava bombs
