Ingredients

12 ounces bowtie pasta

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until the onions are translucent.

Brown the Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Create the Sauce: Stir in the beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce the heat to low, then add the heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheeses melt and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Combine Pasta and Spinach: Toss the cooked bowtie pasta and chopped spinach into the skillet with the creamy beef sauce. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until your desired consistency is reached.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
