1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1/4 cup water

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

1 pack (10 oz) miniature marshmallows

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 cup crushed Graham crackers (for a crunchy layer)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base:

    - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves and then bring the mixture to a boil.

      Cook the Syrup:

        - Allow the mixture to boil without stirring until it reaches a temperature of 240°F (soft ball stage) on a candy thermometer. This should take about 8-10 minutes.

          Mix with Marshmallows:

            - Once the syrup is ready, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Immediately add the miniature marshmallows to the syrup and stir until fully melted and well combined.

              Add Graham Crackers:

                - Gently fold in the crushed Graham crackers into the marshmallow mixture until evenly distributed.

                  Set the Mixture:

                    - Pour the marshmallow mixture into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish and smooth out the top with a spatula. Let it cool completely at room temperature for about 1 hour.
