Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup warm water (110°F)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over the dough.

Layer the sliced pepperoni across the dough and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Starting from one edge of the rectangle, roll the dough tightly into a log.

Cut the log into 1-inch thick slices and arrange them cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of each roll for a nice golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
