Ingredients
  

1 cup fresh basil leaves

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
 

In a food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, minced garlic, and pine nuts (or walnuts). Pulse until finely chopped.

    Add the grated Parmesan cheese and continue to pulse while gradually pouring in the olive oil until you achieve a smooth paste. Set the pesto aside.

      In a medium saucepan, over low heat, pour in the heavy cream and gently warm it, being careful not to let it boil.

        Stir in the prepared pesto to the cream, mixing until thoroughly combined and slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.

          Taste and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. If you like a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes.

            Remove from heat and toss with cooked ravioli of your choice, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
