Ingredients

1 tube of crescent roll dough

1 lb ground sausage (breakfast or Italian)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the ground sausage until browned and cooked through. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.

Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and smooth.

Prepare the Crescents: Take the tube of crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate it into triangles as indicated on the packaging.

Fill the Crescents: Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wider end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough towards the pointed end, tucking in the sides to secure the filling.

Bake: Arrange the filled crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and flaky.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. If desired, garnish with chopped green onions for an added touch.

Enjoy: Serve these savory crescents warm as an appetizer for parties, game day, or a delicious snack anytime!
