Rotel Sausage & Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients
  

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 pound pork sausage (mild or spicy, depending on preference)

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the pork sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.

      In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.

        Add the cooked sausage to the cream cheese mixture, stirring until everything is evenly mixed.

          Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the sausage and cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

            Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end and tucking the tips in to form a crescent shape. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet.

              Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.

                Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

                  Serve warm and enjoy your delicious and savory sausage & cream cheese crescents!
