Ingredients

1 lb pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite kind)

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

12 slider buns

1 cup coleslaw mix (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork: In a large bowl, season the pork shoulder pieces with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure even coating.

Slow Cook: Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker. In a separate bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth, then pour over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.

Shred the Meat: Once the pork is cooked, use two forks to shred the meat inside the slow cooker, mixing it with the sauce to ensure each bite is flavorful.

Toast the Buns: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place slider buns on a baking sheet and lightly toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each toasted slider bun, heap a generous portion of the sticky BBQ pork. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw for crunch and freshness. Place the top half of the buns over the pork and coleslaw.

Serve: Optionally garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy these flavorful sliders warm, with extra barbecue sauce on the side if desired!
